1. Acceptance of Terms
By making an online booking with Far North Coast Wound Services (“we”, “us”, “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, you must not proceed with the booking.
2. Booking Requirements
Eligibility: Clients must be aged 18 years or over, or bookings must be made by a legal guardian or authorised representative for minors or individuals unable to self-consent.
Accurate Information: You agree to provide complete, current, and accurate information during the booking process.
Health Information Collection: By booking, you consent to us collecting health-related information necessary to provide appropriate clinical services in line with Australian privacy laws.
3. Appointment Confirmation
Booking Confirmation: Your appointment is not confirmed until you receive an email or SMS confirmation from us.
Pre-Appointment Requirements: You may be asked to complete an intake form or provide referral information prior to your appointment. Failure to do so may impact the service we can provide.
4. Cancellations and Rescheduling
Client-Initiated Cancellations:
You may cancel or reschedule your booking up to 24 hours prior to your appointment without penalty.
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before your appointment may incur a cancellation fee of 50% of the booked service fee, at our discretion.
No-Show Policy:
Failure to attend without notice will be considered a “No-Show” and may incur the full fee for the service booked.
Provider-Initiated Changes:
We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel appointments due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., staff illness, emergencies).
We will make all reasonable efforts to notify you as early as possible and to reschedule promptly.
5. Fees and Payment
Pricing: The service fees applicable are those displayed at the time of booking or as previously communicated.
Payment Terms: Payment is due as per the invoice terms. Some services may require prepayment or deposit at the time of booking.
Third-Party Funding:
If services are funded through third parties (e.g., Home Care Packages, NDIS), prior authorisation must be in place.
You are responsible for any gap payments not covered by your funding body.
6. Health Information, Privacy and Confidentiality
We comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
Collection and Use: Health and personal information is collected solely for the purpose of providing clinical care and administrative services.
Storage: All information is stored securely in accordance with Australian healthcare record-keeping standards.
Disclosure: We will not disclose your information to third parties without your consent, except where required by law or where necessary to prevent serious threats to life or health.

7. Clinical Service Disclaimer
Scope of Service:
Our services are limited to wound care consulting and clinical nursing support as outlined at the time of booking.
We may refer you to another healthcare provider if your needs fall outside the scope of our practice.
Medical Emergencies:
We are not an emergency service. If you require urgent medical care, please call 000 or attend your nearest Emergency Department.
8. Liability
Far North Coast Wound Services takes all reasonable care in the delivery of services; however, to the extent permitted by law, we disclaim liability for any loss, injury, or damage arising from the provision of our services, unless directly caused by our negligence.
9. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time.
Updated versions will be posted on our website and will apply immediately to new bookings.
